Testsuite fails on OS X Mavericks

Perhaps this is already well-known, but the testsuite utterly fails on Mavericks. Most tests fail because of extra output from clang. Here is a representative:

Actual stderr output differs from expected:

+++ ./tcfail188.comp.stderr	2014-04-28 14:37:03.000000000 -0400

*** unexpected failure for tcfail188(normal)

Is this a local setting problem? Or is this something that can be fixed centrally?
