      This completes what c774b28f (#9281)
      started.  `integer-gmp-1.0` was added as an additional
      `libraries/integer-gmp2` folder while retaining the ability to configure
      GHC w/ the old `integer-gmp-0.5` to have a way back, and or the ability
      to easily switch between old/new `integer-gmp` for benchmark/debugging
      purposes.
      
      This commit removes the old `libraries/integer-gmp` folder and moves
      `libraries/integer-gmp2` into its place, while removing any mentions of
      "gmp2" as well as the to support two different `integer-gmp` packages in
      GHC's source-tree.

      Filter instance visibility based on set of visible orphans, fixes #2182. · 4c834fdd

      Summary:
      Amazingly, the fix for this very old bug is quite simple: when type-checking,
      maintain a set of "visible orphan modules" based on the orphans list of
      modules which we explicitly imported.  When we import an instance and it
      is an orphan, we check if it is in the visible modules set, and if not,
      ignore it.  A little bit of refactoring for when orphan-hood is calculated
      happens so that we always know if an instance is an orphan or not.
      
      For GHCi, we preinitialize the visible modules set based on the list of
      interactive imports which are active.
      
      Future work: Cache the visible orphan modules set for GHCi, rather than
      recomputing it every type-checking round.  (But it's tricky what to do when you
      /remove/ a module: you need a data structure a little more complicated than
      just a set of modules.)

      This is done as a separate `integer-gmp2` backend library because it
      turned out to become a complete rewrite from scratch.
      
      Due to the different (over)allocation scheme and potentially different
      accounting (via the new `{shrink,resize}MutableByteArray#` primitives),
      some of the nofib benchmarks actually results in increased allocation
      numbers (but not necessarily an increase in runtime!).  I believe the
      allocation numbers could improve if `{resize,shrink}MutableByteArray#`
      could be optimised to reallocate in-place more efficiently.
      
      Here are the more apparent changes in the latest nofib comparision
      between `integer-gmp` and `integer-gmp2`:

      By default, `INTEGER_LIBRARY=integer-gmp2` is active now, which results
      in the package `integer-gmp-1.0.0.0` being registered in the package db.
      The previous `integer-gmp-0.5.1.0` can be restored by setting
      `INTEGER_LIBRARY=integer-gmp` (but will probably be removed altogether
      for GHC 7.12). In-tree GMP support has been stolen from the old
      `integer-gmp` (while unpatching the custom memory-allocators, as well as
      forcing `-fPIC`)
      
      A minor hack to `ghc-cabal` was necessary in order to support two different
      `integer-gmp` packages (in different folders) with the same package key.
      
      There will be a couple of follow-up commits re-implementing some features
      that were dropped to keep D82 minimal, as well as further
      clean-ups/improvements.

      The conversions should now be correct w.r.t Unicode.
      
      Also move a couple instances to avoid orphan instances.
      
      Strictly speaking there's no need for these types to use FastString as
      they do not need the unique feature. They could just use some other
      compact string type, but ghc's internal utils don't have much support
      for such a type, so we just use FastString.

      This patch set makes us no longer assume that a package key is a human
      readable string, leaving Cabal free to "do whatever it wants" to allocate
      keys; we'll look up the PackageId in the database to display to the user.
      This also means we have a new level of qualifier decisions to make at the
      package level, and rewriting some Safe Haskell error reporting code to DTRT.
      
      Additionally, we adjust the build system to use a new ghc-cabal output
      Make variable PACKAGE_KEY to determine library names and other things,
      rather than concatenating PACKAGE/VERSION as before.
      
      Adds a new `-this-package-key` flag to subsume the old, erroneously named
      `-package-name` flag, and `-package-key` to select packages by package key.
      
      RFC: The md5 hashes are pretty tough on the eye, as far as the file
      system is concerned :(
      
      ToDo: safePkg01 test had its output updated, but the fix is not really right:

      Summary:
      Previously, both Cabal and GHC defined the type PackageId, and we expected
      them to be roughly equivalent (but represented differently).  This refactoring
      separates these two notions.
      
      A package ID is a user-visible identifier; it's the thing you write in a
      Cabal file, e.g. containers-0.9.  The components of this ID are semantically
      meaningful, and decompose into a package name and a package vrsion.
      
      A package key is an opaque identifier used by GHC to generate linking symbols.
      Presently, it just consists of a package name and a package version, but
      pursuant to #9265
      
       we are planning to extend it to record other information.
      Within a single executable, it uniquely identifies a package.  It is *not* an
      InstalledPackageId, as the choice of a package key affects the ABI of a package
      (whereas an InstalledPackageId is computed after compilation.)  Cabal computes
      a package key for the package and passes it to GHC using -package-name (now
      *extremely* misnamed).
      
      As an added bonus, we don't have to worry about shadowing anymore.
      
      As a follow on, we should introduce -current-package-key having the same role as
      -package-name, and deprecate the old flag.  This commit is just renaming.
      
      The haddock submodule needed to be updated.

      Summary:
      Previously, the GHC API was "semi" wired-in: it was installed with a
      version number, but that version number was hard-coded into the compiler
      and it wasn't really possible to install other copies of the GHC API.
      This patch makes the GHC API more similar to existing wired-in packages
      such as ghc-prim, and will be helpful when we start extending the amount
      of information passed to -package-name.

      In some cases, the layout of the LANGUAGE/OPTIONS_GHC lines has been
      reorganized, while following the convention, to
      
      - place `{-# LANGUAGE #-}` pragmas at the top of the source file, before
        any `{-# OPTIONS_GHC #-}`-lines.
      
      - Moreover, if the list of language extensions fit into a single
        `{-# LANGUAGE ... -#}`-line (shorter than 80 characters), keep it on one
        line. Otherwise split into `{-# LANGUAGE ... -#}`-lines for each
        individual language extension. In both cases, try to keep the
        enumeration alphabetically ordered.
        (The latter layout is preferable as it's more diff-friendly)
      
      While at it, this also replaces obsolete `{-# OPTIONS ... #-}` pragma
      occurences by `{-# OPTIONS_GHC ... #-}` pragmas.

      The basic idea here is simple, and described in Note [The interactive package]
      in HscTypes, which starts thus:

          Type and class declarations at the command prompt are treated as if
          they were defined in modules
             interactive:Ghci1
             interactive:Ghci2
             ...etc...
          with each bunch of declarations using a new module, all sharing a
          common package 'interactive' (see Module.interactivePackageId, and
          PrelNames.mkInteractiveModule).
      
          This scheme deals well with shadowing.  For example:
      
             ghci> data T = A
             ghci> data T = B
             ghci> :i A
             data Ghci1.T = A  -- Defined at <interactive>:2:10
      
          Here we must display info about constructor A, but its type T has been
          shadowed by the second declaration.  But it has a respectable
          qualified name (Ghci1.T), and its source location says where it was
          defined.
      
          So the main invariant continues to hold, that in any session an original
          name M.T only refers to oe unique thing.  (In a previous iteration both
          the T's above were called :Interactive.T, albeit with different uniques,
          which gave rise to all sorts of trouble.)
      
      This scheme deals nicely with the original problem.  It allows us to
      eliminate a couple of grotseque hacks
        - Note [Outputable Orig RdrName] in HscTypes
        - Note [interactive name cache] in IfaceEnv
      (both these comments have gone, because the hacks they describe are no
      longer necessary). I was also able to simplify Outputable.QueryQualifyName,
      so that it takes a Module/OccName as args rather than a Name.
      
      However, matters are never simple, and this change took me an
      unreasonably long time to get right.  There are some details in
      Note [The interactive package] in HscTypes.

      FastStrings are now always UTF8-encoded.
      
      There's no StringTable for FastZString, but I don't think one is needed.
      We only ever make a FastZString by running zEncodeFS on a FastString,
      and the FastStrings are shared via the FastString StringTable, so we get
      the same FastZString from the IORef.

      This patch was originally developed by Max Bolingbroke, and worked on
      further by Austin Seipp.  It allows you to write a Core-to-Core pass
      and have it dynamically linked into an otherwise-unmodified GHC, and
      run at a place you specify in the Core optimisation pipeline.
      
      Main components:
        - CoreMonad: new types Plugin, PluginPass
                     plus a new constructor CoreDoPluginPass in CoreToDo
      
        - SimplCore: stuff to dynamically load any plugins, splice
          them into the core-to-core pipeline, and invoke them
      
        - Move "getCoreToDo :: DynFlags -> [CoreToDo]"
            which constructs the main core-to-core pipeline
            from CoreMonad to SimplCore
          SimplCore is the driver for the optimisation pipeline, and it
          makes more sense to have the pipeline construction in the driver
          not in the infrastructure module.
      
        - New module DynamicLoading: invoked by SimplCore to load any plugins
          Some consequential changes in Linker.
      
        - New module GhcPlugins: this should be imported by plugin modules; it
          it not used by GHC itself.

      The SDoc type now passes around an abstract SDocContext rather than
      just a PprStyle which required touching a few more files.  This should
      also make it easier to integrate DynFlags passing, so that we can get
      rid of global variables.

      - '-Odph' is now '-O2 -fsimplifier-phases=3 -fsimplifier-iterations=20'
      - The new option '-fdph-none' is the default; it indicates that no DPH
        backend is selected and is the only valid option if the DPH libraries
        are not installed.  If vectorisation is attempted with -fdph-none a
        suitable error message is generated.
      - Hence, '-fdph-par' (or '-fdph-seq') needs to be explicitly selected
        when using vectorisation and when linking vectorised code.  (There
        seems to be no elegant way to avoid that.)

      Use MD5 checksums for recompilation checking (fixes #1372, #1959) · 526c3af1

      This is a much more robust way to do recompilation checking.  The idea
      is to create a fingerprint of the ABI of an interface, and track
      dependencies by recording the fingerprints of ABIs that a module
      depends on.  If any of those ABIs have changed, then we need to
      recompile.
      
      In bug #1372 we weren't recording dependencies on package modules,
      this patch fixes that by recording fingerprints of package modules
      that we depend on.  Within a package there is still fine-grained
      recompilation avoidance as before.
      
      We currently use MD5 for fingerprints, being a good compromise between
      efficiency and security.  We're not worried about attackers, but we
      are worried about accidental collisions.
      
      All the MD5 sums do make interface files a bit bigger, but compile
      times on the whole are about the same as before.  Recompilation
      avoidance should be a bit more accurate than in 6.8.2 due to fixing
      #1959, especially when using -O.
