Nondeterministic T15897 timeout failures
I'm noticing sporadic test failures for T15897. Here is one recent example:

*** unexpected failure for T15897(profasm)This was on the validate-x86_64-linux-deb9-unreg CI configuration, although it's unclear to me if the problem is exclusive to that configuration or not.
