gmake check-packages fails for ghc-126.96.36.19971017-src on solaris
the tests in the toplevel Makefile go wrong:
check-packages : - @for d in `cat libraries/core-packages`; do \ + @ds=`cat libraries/core-packages`;\ + for d in $$ds; do \ if test ! -d libraries/$$d; then \ echo "Looks like you're missing libraries/$$d,"; \ echo "maybe you haven't done './darcs-all get'?"; \ exit 1; \ fi \ done - @if test ! -e libraries/base/configure; then \ + @if test ! -f libraries/base/configure; then \ echo "Looks like you're missing base's configure script."; \
test under solaris does not understand '
-e' and '
cat libraries/core-packages' is treated as a single argument if not assigned to a variable.
