Inconsistent memory consumption reported during profiling

Steps to reproduce
Run https://github.com/l29ah/hyborg --verbose --dry-run create --progress foo::bar /usr/src/linux/* +RTS -M500M -hC -l -L500 -N
Expected behavior
The profile detailing total memory consumption (it terminates at 500MB), not just 50MB.
Environment
