slow validate failure: UnliftedMutVar_Comp (hpc way)

Reproduce with

hadrian/build test --freeze1  --docs=none --flavour=slow-validate --test-speed=slow --only="UnliftedMutVar_Comp"

Looks like something needs to look through ticks or a failure in eta-expansion.
