Migrate primary real-time communications to Matrix?
Recently we have been discussing how to approach realtime communications. In short, more and more of our community has been moving away from IRC and towards Matrix. Moreover, since the elimination of the Matrix-Libera.chat bridge, the interaction between the these two channels is awkward at best.
Now with the resolution of #24006 (closed), we might consider formally migrating the "center-of-mass" of the community to Matrix.
The Plan
We will write an email to ghc-devs, glasgow-haskell-users, and Discourse asking for feedback on the proposal.
