For ghci, drop editline in favour of haskeline.
The hard work has already been done by Judah here: http://code.haskell.org/~judah/ghci-haskeline/
However, currently haskeline depends on utf8-string, which we'd rather not pull in as a dependency given we hope not to release with it, so this is semi-blocked on #2811 (closed) (Unicode support for text I/O).
