Compiling from HC files fails in 5.00.1
I tried to install GHC-5.00.1 on FreeBSD-4.3
using HC files. This failed for several reasons.
In the HC bootstrap flags is missing:
-lm -lgnuregex (probably configure problem).
After correcting this the build failed some hours later
because hsc2hs could not be built.
I checked the operation of hc-build. The build of
utilities after ./configure fails, because the
inplace ghc is not found any more I get lines bginning
with cpp or syslib, probably form $HC -cpp/syslib.
I am now going to try getting the utils from my
workplace system via 4.08Trac metadata
