GHCi gives overly specific error message for unknown constructor
What happens:
Prelude> :i Fish
Top level: Not in scope: data constructor ‘Fish’
This is potentially confusing because :i
can be used for type constructors and classes, as well as data constructors. What I think should happen:
Prelude> :i Fish
Top level: Not in scope: constructor or class ‘Fish’
