In recent discussions regarding both linker flags that might affect the binary size, and existing bug reports about binary sizes (e.g. this week #24179), it was brought up again the possibility of testing binary size in CI. This ticket tracks the augmentation of the testsuite to notice big changes in binary size (similarly to the performance metrics)
