Replace -fstrict-dicts with programmer-custom strictness annotations for class contexts
Could we perhaps add syntax that looks like
foo :: (!(Foo a)) => a -> a
to indicate that a dictionary should be evaluated strictly? At the moment, -fstrict-dicts is an extremely blunt tool, since it can only be given as a static option.
