How to get shared base libraries with profiling when installing from ghc-7.0.2-i386-unknown-linux.tar.bz2

I have installed GHC-7.0.2 from ghc-7.0.2-i386-unknown-linux.tar.bz2 and like to build my packages with cabal --enable-library-profiling --enable-shared . However I cannot build executables, since there are no shared profiling libraries installed.

$ cabal install -fbuildExample --enable-library-profiling --enable-executable-profiling --enable-shared --ghc-option=-dynamic gnuplot

      Use -v to see a list of the files searched for.

Could GHC be shipped with shared profiling libraries? Since this would considerably increase the size of the GHC package it would also be fine for me if I would be able to build these libraries myself, preferably with cabal.
