    @gwils afair you were interested in FreeBSD support? I'm inclined to remove it, unless someone, who is actually a FreeBSD user steps up and helps maintaining a consistent set of bindists (not just the ones on downloads.haskell.org, because these already don't work with the latest 12 release).

    I'm getting user reports about problems, but I don't know how to fix all of that, nor do I have personal interest in FreeBSD support.

    Drop it. I'd like to see Haskell support for FreeBSD reinvigorated but I don't have the time to do it myself. Adding FreeBSD to GHCUP was premature on my part; apologies. The first steps are earlier in the chain (eg. getting GHC CI set up for FreeBSD...)
