Add concurrent-output patch

Thanks for the patch! The CI failure is strange, as it appears to be due to some nondeterministic CI runner failure that is unrelated to your patch. I've filed #38 (closed) for this. I've also restarted the CI in the hopes that we can get a full run this time.

Bizarrely, the 9.2 job (and only the 9.2 job) is failing to build warp, as its build plan includes an old version of text. See here. Again, I doubt that this is the fault of this MR in particular, but it is quite bizarre. I'll have to see if I can reproduce this when I get a spare moment.
