I've removed it for now. If you make a release I can add it back.
Let me know if you want to make a release for the two backported commits or if the submodule bump should be dropped from the ghc-9.6 backports.
I wasn't in charge of backporting, I merely relayed the message to whoever was doing backports at the time.
