Windows UX
I asked a friend of mine to install Haskell on Windows to test a program I wrote. I send him to https://www.haskell.org/ghcup/ and this is what he had to say
- «when you view that page with JavaScript disabled it shows four sets of instructions and they seem to confusingly show duplicate steps (like this)»
- «Do I need stack? I've said yes to get it going...»
My suggestion:
- have the page behave gracefully sans-js or put a «you need javascript to see this»
- install
stack
by default, new users do not even know whatstack
is
